Campus Missionary Intern

My entire teenage years my life revolved around smoking pot and psychedelic experiences. I was egotistical, idolizing romance, and chasing dreams unwilling to put in the work to achieve them. I was constantly chasing dopamine highs, and trying to fill a hole too large for anything in this world. During my one year spent in the dorms at the university, Austin Lueck shared the gospel with me. As I considered myself spiritual I stuffed it in my backpocket trying to combine it with all my other beliefs. I went on for two years continuing to chase highs and continuing to fall back down to earth. My sorrow, my despair, and my shame had grown too large for me to carry, and in an instant God reminded me of the gospel that was shared with me, God snatched me out of the darkness. I repented, confessed, and my life was given to Jesus. 

Since Jesus took hold of my life, I’ve been led to say yes to every opportunity that God has put in my Path; like being discipled by mature men in the church, going to Elevate (5 week discipleship development) that summer, moving into Firewatch a men's ministry house, all leading up to becoming a staff member with Resonate.

I am very passionate about cultivating young leaders in the church. It is most gratifying to see young men step up and take ownership of their convictions, and to take ownership of their areas of influence. I am very excited to step into a job where this is my primary focus, and am ecstatic to see the fruit that God produces in my labor.

It has been so cool to watch God work in Missoula through our campus. We have a culture of passionately praising the Lord, and it is infectious and clearly spreading through the university. Our community based culture is such a joy to be apart of, watching people find out about Resonate and then quickly becoming an integral part of the community. We are a community based on “doing life together” and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
